in 2013, two students from Imperial College London, Rodrigo Garcia Gonzalez and Pierre Paslier, had a fun and quirky idea: what if we could enjoy water from an edible bubble instead of a plastic bottle? They started their journey in their student kitchen and made the first bubbles by hand. It was quite a challenge at first! They played around with different recipes and shared their unique creations with friends and family. And the reaction? Everyone couldn’t help but say “Oohooo!” – and so the name “Ooho” was born.

Today, Ooho is a sensation all over the world! These edible water bubbles are not only a cool idea, they also help to combat the major problem of plastic waste. Rodrigo and Pierre have turned their simple idea into a movement that shows that a little creativity and a lot of determination can make a difference. Their story is a great reminder that even the smallest ideas can lead to something truly amazing.
