In East Turkistan, a grave held a total of 200 mummies. Adorned according to Turkic shaman traditions, these mummies, with intact facial features and even eyelashes, are a remarkable discovery due to the geographical features of their resting place. Particularly intriguing is the remarkably well-preserved state of the mummy known as the “Lolan Beauty.” With brown hair and a long nose, these mummies exhibit features that readily distinguish them from the Chinese, suggesting an existence predating them.

What sets the “lolan Beauty” apart from many other types of mummies is the preservation of internal organs without removal, a mummification process far removed from ancient Egyptian traditions and at a more advanced level. DNA test results reveal that the “Lolan Beauty” is 100% of Turkic origin, possibly ancestors of the Turks.

At a remarkable age of 3,800 years, the mummy boasts well-preserved long eyelashes framing its half-open eyes and flowing hair cascading over its shoulders. The salt mound where Lolan was discovered has yielded nearly a dozen more well-preserved mummies, each sharing similar characteristics. The intensely salty and extremely low-humidity environment has been crucial in preserving these mummies in remarkable conditions for thousands of years.
